Like the title says, where do you guys keep your boats? Mine's next to my garage, but I'd rather it be covered. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good storage place and how much it cost.

My budy kept his somewhere out Hixson Pike last winter. It was under a covered roof, but had no front or back wall on it. He lucked out and it was between two huge RV's, and he had no water issues. This year he went with Uncle Bob's on Hixson near Access Rd, which is closer to his house. It is under cover, and I think may have a back wall on it.
I don't know the price, but I remember thinking it seemed a little pricey. Maybe over $100 month?

I keep mine in my yard with a cover on it. I hate to do that but at least this year I have a real cover instead of a tarp. I have not winterized yet either but that's going to happen soon. I HATE WINTER! haha

Yeah, I think I'm going to go buy a tarp and put it over the tower and boat and leave the cover on the boat. That's what Bishop suggested.

Better let that thing breathe some. That tarp will seal in alot of moisture. In the spring you just might have a science project or a pennicillin farm in that boat. DHMHIK
I currently am storing mine in some unleased carpet retail space that a friend of mine owns in Dalton. He has to leave the heat on for his sprinkler system so its been pretty nice. Only down side is that I have to be ready to move out on a moment's notice if he leases the place. He doesn't charge me a thing, but I've done a few favors for him in the past.
| He was a very cautious man who never romped and played He never smoked, He never drank, Nor ever kissed a maid And when he up and passed away his insurance was denied... For since he hadn't ever lived, they claimed he never died. |

I only used a tarp last year and there was zero mold etc.. but my cover that I've used all summer has a nice layer underneath, I plan to take that to the laundry mat though ha.
I think my tarp let in more air than the cover, not sure what's going on but if I don't do something soon "science project" fo sho, what can you use to kill it? bleach? that doesn't sound like it would be good for the carpet. what else can you do to kill it? moth balls? I don't want my boat to smell like oldness. Any one have any tips?

Hopefully that keeps the moisture down.
