Man,
I know it's bush league for some of you pros out there, but I need some help with landing a three. I can come around and land on the board, but I always seem to pop the handle and not ride away. What are the basic tips you guys have for landing a 3?

No Pro but I will say this. Take a fairly progressive cut toward the wake from about 8-10 feet out. As you approach the wake crouch down slightly so you will be able to pop off the wake like a regular wake jump. As you get to the top of the wake start to stand as tall as possible for your max pop. Wait until you are at the height of your normal wake to wake jump to begin your rotation (*DON"T START YOUR ROTATION AS YOU LEAVE THE WAKE... WAIT FOR THE POP). As you start the rotation of the 3, look over your left shoulder (front-side spin/riding regular) and begin to pass the handle. The handle needs to go in the small of your back and grab it with your free hand. As you come around for the final 180, keep your head turned so you will be ready for spotting your landing. As you begin to come down for the landing keep your knees slightly bent and the handle low against your hips ( that will help with you popping the handle). When you land on the water just heel side edge on out with your elbows bent and handle next to your hip. Good luck G man!

Shaun,
Don't be a puss. Surely you can throw a 3 on a slalom ski!

Every thing Moon posted above is correct, however I still have trouble getting that handle, Dave Briscoe gave a pointer to someone yesterday that I had to add cause I got closer than I ever have after hearing this.
Keep both hands on the handle until you finish the 1st 180, then let go and pass the handle as described above. Also spin late with aggression.
Tom I've seen Sean hit a picnic table slider on a slalom ski and a hydro slide!!!
And by "hit" I mean he slid accross it, not ran into it hahaha.
